When you’re going on holiday abroad as a young family, transport can be stressful. When you’re at home you probably have all the newest mod-con extras in your car, Sat-Nav, Music system, child seats… when you go abroad, you don’t have any of these to hand, unless you hire a car.

If you are planning a busy holiday, with site seeing and travelling all included, hiring a car for your young family is a good idea. Having a car, just like at home will take the hassle out of public transport and having to meet strict timing deadlines. Unfortunately, car rental companies will usually look to charge you for all extra accessories.  So make sure you take your own where possible and you’ll save on these extra fees! Make sure you have the relevant adaptors so that it will work in the car you’re going to hire. If in doubt, speak with the agency to confirm. Looking into the cost of renting a car is best to make sure you allocate enough funds to this expense.

When you are looking for a beach holiday abroad, to catch up with some rest then why not spend some time on an island? If the Maldives are a little out of your price range then we suggest somewhere closer to home. With several islands in the Mediterranean, you are spoilt for choice. You may not realise that there are 2 islands just off the coast of Spain called Menorca and Majorca. Menorca has a gorgeous sandy beach stretching out over 3km. With hotels just off the beach or campsites further inland, Menorca has a selection of holiday possibilities for any budget. Whether you are going to spend time as a family or as a couple, the resorts available will tailor to most! If you want to go to catch some rays, then the best time to go is going to be July and August. With temperatures on average between 21-29 degrees Celsius and the sea hitting 26 degrees Celsius in August, you won’t be complaining when you take a dip in the sea!

Like with during a lot of global gatherings, the upcoming football world cup in Brazil is going to cause the prices of accommodation to soar well above what they stand at normally. Coupled with the fact that the prices of tickets to the matches are so high, finding a cheaper alternative may be ideal. Luckily there are a number of alternatives which meet this goal, such as finding a place to lodge. There are even examples of people finding locations within the Favela slums of Rio to lodge with families there, for a much smaller bill than what you would find within a hotel. There are also various motels, which, while not as luxurious as hotel accommodation, more than fulfils the need for accommodation.

During your excursion to Brazil and the world cup you should make sure that you see the wonderful sights of Brazil, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, and the wonderful beaches they have there.
