The Big Apple

There’s so much to see and do in New York but if you’ve never visited the city before, then you have to tick off the main sightseeing activities. Popular options include Times Square, Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art (also known as MoMA). Having a chill in Central Park is another ‘must do’ activity on a New York getaway. There are plenty of cafes and bagel shops nearby too, so lunch in Central Park can be pretty memorable.

The Empire State Building is another ultra ‘touristy’ area, but as New York’s tallest building, it really is a site to behold. The 9/11 memorial is a very emotional tourist spot, but again it’s definitely worth seeing, yet it warrants respect.

New York is famous for so many reasons, and the fact is you can spend an entire week there and still not see half of what it has to offer, but whatever you do while you’re there, make sure you get in some sightseeing.

Ibiza

Posted on February 24, 2016 at 8:57 pm

Ibiza is one of the premier places to go if you want a good time. It offers some of the best night-life in the world during holiday season, as well as some amazing beaches for you to spend your time at during the day. If there is anything negative to be said about the place, it is that it isn’t really suitable for a family holiday.

While it has a similar weather to Majorca, the experiences you’ll gain from the two favourite holiday destinations couldn’t be more different. While there are ample opportunities to have a great family holiday in Majorca, Ibiza is known for the active summer club scene, for the techno music which developed there, and for the great experiences many young people get there.

Budget Airlines – Good or Bad?

Posted on December 27, 2015 at 10:40 pm

The world has opened up, they said when flying became slightly more usual. People were beginning to fly and travel all over the world; seeing sights they never thought possible, meeting people they never imagined. Stories began to come home about the amazing and incredible things that exist in the world. One thing, however, was changing; people were building companies to take people of lesser incomes to the farthest reaches of beautiful planet earth.

Travel was no longer for the super rich; the elite and the superstars of the world. Flying was becoming mainstream; and people were taking the opportunity to fly the seven seas, see the Great Wall, float in the Dead Sea and sail down the Nile. These were no longer the stuff that dreams were made of, but the stuff of reality for normal people on lesser incomes. There were downsides of course, but we can talk about those another day, there’s a lot to list!
